In this opportuniy, the author brings us the story of David, an unattractive, currently unemployed, 31-year-old waiter, that breaks even by filling out online surveys and mystery shopping. He doesn't have a girlfriend, close friends, or family. What he has are his social networks, his blog, his followers, and many crazy conspiracy theories.

When a building in a nearby town is attacked under mysterious circumstances, both his real and his online world are shaken, as he discovers that the events sorroundings the attack are way weirder than he expected. His own crazy theories are often mostly wrong but this time he hits closer to the truth than he might have imagined.
